Prevent Heart Disease Before It Becomes an Emergency

Most doctors talk about how to treat heart disease once it has already developed. My focus is different, to help you prevent it before it becomes an emergency. Through evidence-based education, practical lifestyle guidance, and clear explanations of cardiovascular health, my goal is to help you reduce your risk and make informed decisions long before a heart disease develops.

A Cardiologist You Can Trust

Dr. Asim Ghafoor, Cardiologist Pakistan

I am Dr. Asim Ghafoor — a Cardiologist dedicated to helping people in Pakistan understand heart disease, reduce cardiovascular risk, and make informed decisions through evidence-based education and personalised cardiac care

He ignored the chest tightness for three weeks. Thought it was acidity. Took antacids daily. Came to hospital on a Tuesday. Left on Thursday ۔۔۔ in a box.

Acidity and heart attack feel the same. Only an ECG and Troponin can tell them apart.

Never self-diagnose chest pain. Never.
It is the one symptom that demands a doctor — always.

MyHealthyHeartGuide.com exists for that moment. A trusted cardiologist who explains your heart in plain language — and gives Pakistani families the answers they deserve.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first appointment

How do I get my ECG or lab results interpreted?
Simply WhatsApp us on +92 311 475 3274 with a photo or PDF of your report. Dr. Ghafoor reviews it and sends you a full plain-language explanation — usually within a few hours. ECG interpretation is Rs 2,000 and lab results Rs 1,500 per report.
What is a second opinion and when do I need one?
If you've been told you need a stent, bypass surgery, or a major cardiac procedure — a second opinion from an independent cardiologist is always a good idea. Dr. Ghafoor reviews all your reports and gives an honest, unbiased assessment. This service is Rs 4,000 per case.
Can I book an online consultation from another city?
Yes. Online consultations are available for patients anywhere in Pakistan — Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, or elsewhere. Also available for Pakistanis living abroad. Book at myhealthyheartguide.com/online-appointment or WhatsApp us directly.
What is interventional cardiology?
Interventional cardiology uses catheter-based procedures — without open surgery — to diagnose and treat blocked heart arteries. This includes coronary angiography and PCI/angioplasty with stenting to open blockages. Dr. Ghafoor is trained and experienced in all these procedures.
My father just had a heart attack — what should we do now?
After a heart attack, follow-up care is critical. Book an appointment with Dr. Ghafoor as soon as possible after hospital discharge. He will review the discharge summary, medications, and create a personalised post-heart attack recovery plan to reduce the risk of another event.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Please bring your previous medical records, current medication list, any ECG or echocardiogram reports, and a note of your symptoms and how long you've had them.
